21.03.11 - Up to now colour servere and ink saving solutions have been so expensive that they have only been appropriate for the large web and nespaper printers.

The launch of inkWIZE 2 at under £5,000 makes automatic ink saving availbale for all size and type printers. inkWIZE 2 will cut the average ink bill by 20% and the return on investment can be as little as a couple of months.

inkWIZE uses standard device link technologies to maintain colour integrity reducing ink consumption through GCR and UCR.

The automated inkWIZE colour server converts files on the fly to the appropriate standard printing condition like ISO Coated v2. It means users no longer have to worry about RGB images or CMYK images in the wrong format. inkWIZE copes with them all.

Auto Setup wizard makes ink saving easy
Not everyone who wants to save ink is an expert in colour management so inkWIZE has has four auto set p modes. This auto setup means all you need to do is select the queue name and decide one of four options
- Set queue to reduce ink
- Set PDF to standard colour space (e.g. ISOCoatedv2)
- Set PDF to standard colour space and then convert to a new colour space (e.g. ISOCoatedv2 to ISOUncoated)
- Convert directly to new colour space.

Once you have made the choice inkWIZE selects all the appropriate options and configures the queue. All the user has to do is drop the PDF on the hot folder.
