Nordjyske weekend sections
Ribergård & Munk helped create the new design for the relaunch of three weekend sections of the Danish regional daily Nordjyske Stiftstidende. Clarifying the distinction between the Friday CULTURE section, Saturday’s FRIII and the WEEKEND section published on Sundays – within the framework of the typographical toolbox which we introduced with our Nordjyske redesign in 2008 – was the prime object of this design assignment. Working with an in-house group led by AME Jørgen laCour-Harbo, we also created a new structure for the daily news pages with redesigned headers and a more consistent use of the SAXOTECH page geometries.

A Tale of Two Typefaces
Ole Munk was a speaker at the SND/S conference in Stockholm, 13 May 2011. Ole spoke about Ribergård & Munk’s work for Hallpressen, the media division of the Swedish Herenco media corporation which is currently redesigning all its publications and, at the same time, introducing a couple of new titles.
The design project can be described as a study of typographical diversity as two typeface families have been chosen to form the design foundation for all the papers. The presentation can be downloaded in pdf format from www.ribmunk.dk.

Visual Journalism workshop in Norway
Ole Munk will run a visual journalism workshop at the The Norwegian Institute of Journalism in Fredrikstad, Norway, 14-16 June 2011. Apply before June 1 and participate for only NOK 3945. More info at ij.no.

Moss Avis for iPhone
Ribergård & Munk designed an iPhone icon for the new Moss Avis e-paper app which was launched two weeks ago. The new design is based on the MA logotype which we created when redesigning the paper in 2007.
